Good box blonde color for dark hair?

My own experience with Maxi Blonde was a disaster, but I was also lifting multiple layers of red. It turned my hair orange, and I was afraid to leave it to process longer out of fear of damaging my hair. I use Clairol Basic White lightning powder and Salon Care 30 Volume mixture, both available at Sally's or other beauty supply stores. You also might want to use a blonde toner to cancel out any yellow/orange tones. For platinum, I'd suggest Wella Color charm White Lady. As for SPLAT... my friend used the purple SPLAT on her hair three months ago, and it's still purple. Depends on how you rinse/shampoo... she only shampoos that part of her hair once a week, and rinses in cold water. If you're bleaching & doing color streaks, be cautious of the color bleeding onto the blonde areas when rinsing out. Youdon't want to be left with light blue tinted blonde hair!
