Why are British hard on BNP but soft on muslem extremests?

In general the mainstream political class and media are hard on the BNP because they don't want to be labelled racist by the luvvie metropolitan set which run the BBC also they don't want to deal seriously with the widely held concerns Immigration and EU membership etc. The tabloid and centre right media expose the militant muslims but the liberal left media BBC again and leftist councils make excuses and defend them they invented the absurd word Islamaphobia.
