Does it sound like my friend is gay?

Okay, first of all this friend does have a girlfriend. But when she's not around, if you didn't know he had a girlfriend you'd think we was gay from the way he acts around other boys and the comments he makes. More than one person, people we know and people we didn't, have asked if he's gay, even someone who is gay so they should have a good idea if someone is or not. He seems to go quite whenever the topic of homosexuality comes up in conversation, he rubs my leg with his foot under the table at school but only when his g/f isn't around. He also makes comments, someone said about the BNP not tolerating homosexuality and he said 'oh crap', before saying that he was joking. I dunno I just wonder sometimes, what would you think if your friend was like that? I don't mind if he is, I just think that the things he does make him seem gay.
